Work starts on Metro Line No.1 operation center

HCMC – The HCMC Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR) began work on the Metro Line No.1 operation and management building today, January 31.

The VND46-billion building will be home to the headquarters of the HCMC Urban Railways No.1 Company Limited, the project’s operator.

Covering 3,100 square meters, the building will be located in Long Binh Depot, Thu Duc City. It is one of the last components of HCMC’s first metro line, in preparation for the project’s operational phase beginning in 2024.

Connecting Ben Thanh Market in downtown HCMC and Suoi Tien Theme Park in Thu Duc City, Metro Line No. 1 is now 94% complete.
