HCMC – Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park J.V. Co. (VSIP) signed memorandums of understanding (MOU) with nine provinces in Vietnam to develop smart and sustainable industrial parks at a ceremony held in Binh Duong Province this morning, March 25.
The deals were part of a broader MOU between Becamex and Sembcorp Development announced on February 10, 2023, during Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit to Singapore.
VSIP and the nine provinces will conduct feasibility studies for industrial parks, urban centers, and services.
The deals will seek to enhance socio-economic development in these provinces through higher-value manufacturing, job creation, and the development of new urban areas.
The nine participating provinces are Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, and Binh Thuan in southern Vietnam; Khanh Hoa and Thua Thien Hue in central Vietnam; Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa in north-central Vietnam; and Thai Binh and Nam Dinh in northern Vietnam.
The signing ceremony was part of the program “Binh Duong: Initiate – Connect – Develop” which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai.
Khai highly appreciated the model of green industrial park development, as well as the linkage between industrial development and service urban areas, and the synchronicity in transportation and social infrastructure in Binh Duong Province.
The Binh Duong People’s Committee also signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with other partners, including FPT Corporation and Sun Group at this event.
Additionally, Becamex IDC Corporation and Deo Ca Group Corporation signed a deal on cooperation in the fields of industrial development, infrastructure, digital transformation, education, tourism, and real estate development
