HCMC – Consumer goods company Unilever Vietnam yesterday, March 30, held a workshop, titled “Positive Beauty, Positive You”, to celebrate International Women’s month with the participation of experts, activists and local organizations.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Vietnam Women’s Union, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, also known as UN Women, and the Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD Vietnam).

According to March research by MSD, 60% of women aged 16 to 40 do not feel confident about their looks.

The workshop is expected to boost women’s confidence in their diverse beauty and unique values while also breaking down gender stereotypes and assisting women in reaching their full potential.

The London-based business has always been committed to promoting social fairness and inclusion, as well as enhancing people’s health and well-being.

Dove’s “My hair, my say” program eliminates beauty standards and promotes body confidence, while Sunsilk’s “Dreams too good to hold back” initiative encourages girls to identify and follow their goals.

In April, Unilever Vietnam, in collaboration with the Vietnam Women’s Union, will offer courses and training in business and digital platform optimization strategies for around 100 women with disabilities.
