Two more auto testing centers in Hanoi to resume operations

HCMC – Vietnam Register, under the Ministry of Transport, has allowed two auto registration and inspection centers in Hanoi, 29-01V and 29-06V, to reopen after their suspension over irregularities.

These two centers and others in the capital city have been closed to serve a police investigation of irregularities like bribe taking. Their closures have caused other auto testing centers to be overwhelmed with vehicles.

The congestion has negatively affected local people, businesses and socioeconomic activities, Vietnam Register said in its dispatch recently sent to the 29-01V and 29-06V centers, both located in Hanoi’s outlying district of Thanh Tri.

Between January 9 and 10 this year, the Hanoi police searched and sealed these two centers to serve the probe into their alleged violations.

On February 7, the Investigative Division of the Hanoi Police Department issued a dispatch on the removal of obstacles facing auto testing centers in the area.
