NGHỆ AN — Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has asked TH Group – one of Việt Nam’s largest dairy producers – to continue expanding its scale, improving productivity and quality, building a stronger TH brand, and enhancing the material and spiritual lives of employees, thus contributing to building an independent and self-reliant Vietnamese economy.
Visiting the group’s cow farm and dairy producing system, and purified water and juice plant in Thái Hòa Town in the central province of Nghệ An on Saturday, Chính affirmed that TH Group is a testament to the results of the country’s over 35-year Đổi mới (Renewal) journey; and has contributed to building the foundation of a socialist democratic society, a socialist rule of law state, and a socialist-oriented market economy, which identify people as both the centre, the subject and the driving force of development, and not sacrificing the environment and social security for economic growth.
He stressed the need to continue implementing the Party’s policies and the State’s laws on developing the private economy, making it the driving force of the country’s economy; building a healthy, civilised, professional and equal culture among business people; putting the interests of the nation and the country first and foremost; ensuring the harmony between the interests of the State, people and businesses; and promoting public-private cooperation in national development.
Enterprises need to dare to think, and dare to do, and at the same time prevent and fight corruption and negative phenomena in the private sector, he added.

Earlier, the Government leader visited TH Group’s high technology-applied field.
He said that the group’s field model is in line with the country’s policy of sustainable development, in the direction of a green economy, circular economy, and reduction of methane emissions.
Thái Hương, Founder and Chairwoman of the group’s Strategy Council, said: “More than 10 years ago, my first concern was how to get a glass of fresh milk in the fields of Việt Nam, while dairy farming is not an advantageous industry because this type of cattle often lives in temperate regions. Many thousands of miles away, many businesses have used condensed technology, dried fresh milk into powdered milk and shipped it to Việt Nam. It is also good, but it is still best to use fresh milk. So I used technology to transform milk into powdered milk. The impossible becomes possible, becomes an advantage.”
Nghệ An is the hottest province in Việt Nam, but TH dairy farms in Nghĩa Đàn District have set a record as the world’s largest high-tech concentration farm with an average output of 31-34 litres per cow a day. In the next five years, TH will continue to build a farm system and raise cows according to international organic standards to launch organic milk.
“So far, TH’s fresh milk market share is 45 per cent, taking the lead in the fresh milk segment in Việt Nam. Moreover, TH has also brought milk to the world,” she added.
TH Group is implementing a circular production process and green production with typical ways such as installing solar power on farm roofs and TH factories to provide energy clean; building an international standard clean microbiological fertiliser processing factory from TH dairy farm waste and wastewater treatment plant.
With the use of green energy, TH Group has joined hands with the Government in the goal of net zero emissions by 2050 as committed by the Prime Minister at COP26. VNS
