HCMC – The Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) has proposed Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) continuing operating as a one-member limited liability company wholly-owned by the State, in its restructuring plan for EVN from 2021 to 2025 submitted to the Government.

According to the proposal made by CMSC, EVN would continue operating as a 100% State-owned company, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

CMSC also suggested a number of EVN’s subsidiaries which need to be restructured for the period of 2021-2025.

Additionally, the proposal was made to terminate the operation of the National Load Dispatch Centre to establish a one-member limited liability company to satisfy the restructuring requirements of the electricity sector and comply with the prime minister’s guidance.

EVN also proposed the prime minister approve EVN taking over some BOT power plants including Phu My 2.2 and Phu My 3 when these plants’ BOT contracts expire.
