HCMC – Procter & Gamble Vietnam, or P&G Vietnam, has launched an initiative in Vietnam to empower and elevate women entrepreneurs by increasing their business growth and development.

The first-ever Women Entrepreneurs Academy was introduced in HCMC on October 25 by a joint effort between P&G Vietnam and WEConnect International.

The comprehensive training program includes a day of in-person learning in HCMC, followed by continuing online discussions over the next two months.

Participants will receive instructions on critical business aspects, including leadership skills, human resource management, brand building and development, distribution and sales system optimization, as well as improving negotiation skills.

Under the program in Vietnam, participants are able to access P&G’s global training courses, which cover a wide range of topics, such as leadership skills, strategic business planning, and technology integration in procurement processes.

“P&G always recognizes the incredible potential that women entrepreneurs bring to the world of business. We are proud to reiterate our dedication to supporting and empowering women in business in Vietnam through this program,” said Priyamvada Srivastava, country manager and vice president for Vietnam at P&G.

The WEA initiative, which has been successfully implemented in more than 10 countries since 2017, has already assisted more than 520 women business owners.

However, this initiative is not solely about imparting knowledge, but also fostering a supportive network of empowered women entrepreneurs who can share experiences and support one another. Additionally, it helps create a dynamic community where women’s voices are amplified, and their businesses can thrive.
