HCMC – A total of 181 social housing projects, offering 94,390 units, have been completed as part of a plan to construct at least one million social homes for low-income earners and industrial park workers by 2030, according to the Ministry of Construction.
These completed projects encompass an area exceeding 4.8 million square meters.

As per the Government-approved plan in April, the country aims to have about 428,000 social homes by 2025. Between 2025 and 2030, an additional 634,200 units will be completed.
Regarding the VND120,000-billion aid package, a credit program providing soft loans for social home buyers, the ministry noted that 24 projects in 11 cities and provinces that need to borrow around VND12,400 billion qualify for incentive loans.
For the implementation of Resolution 11 on socio-economic recovery measures, banks have disbursed nearly VND 4,400 billion to support over 12,000 eligible clients in purchasing, renting social homes, or renovating their residences.
Besides, the disbursement of the aid package for developers of social housing projects, in accordance with Decree 31/2022 of the Government, has yielded significant results. To date, 21 projects requiring a total of VND 7,100 billion in funding are eligible for borrowing under these requirements.
