Maroon 5 to visit Phu Quoc for live concert

HCMC – Maroon 5, the American pop rock music band, will perform live on Phu Quoc Island on December 16 during their first visit to Vietnam, according to the show’s organizer VinWonders.

The U.S. band’s performance will be part of the music festival, entitled 8Wonder Winter Festival held at Phu Quoc United Center on Phu Quoc Island off Kien Giang Province.

Six members of the band — Adam Levine, James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton and Sam Farrar — will perform their hits, including This Love, Moves Like Jagger, Makes Me Wonder, Sunday Morning, Animals, One More Night and Sugar.

On November 2 at 20:00, tickets for the music festival will go on sale, with restricted numbers of VIP and VVIP seats. Information regarding seating selections and audience sections will be announced this week.

The organizing committee has yet to reveal information about the band’s schedule while in Vietnam, but they said they are still working on the final details of the show.

On many fan pages and music forums, Vietnamese fans and Asian music lovers expressed their excitement about Maroon 5’s tour to Phu Quoc. Last year, the band went on tour to Singapore, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand.

Since their debut in 2002, Maroon 5 has achieved many commercial successes thanks to hits such as Animals, This Love, Payphone and Move Like Jagger.
