HCMC – Domestic fuel prices were revised up by over VND700 per liter today, September 21, marking the seventh hike in two months, according to a decision jointly issued by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.

RON 95-III gasoline, a premium fuel in Vietnam, is priced at VND25,740 per liter, an increase of VND870, while E5 RON 92 bio-gasoline costs VND24,190 per liter, up by VND720.

Diesel oil now sells for VND23,590 per liter, rising by VND540, while kerosene is up by VND630 to VND23,810 per liter.

Heavy fuel oil is now priced at VND17,840 per kilogram, up by VND140.

During this fuel price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to impose a surcharge on all types of fuel. Local fuel traders can tap the fund at VND300 for each liter of fuel sold, except for heavy oil, to keep prices from a steep rise in this fuel price adjustment.
