HCMC – Huawei Vietnam, in collaboration with the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA), has recently launched the eighth season of the “Seeds for the Future” program to provide scholarships to talented technology students nationwide.
The program will select 25 outstanding applicants to learn about the latest technology advances with international experts through the online learning tool Seeds Academy from August 21 to 28.
During the online course, Vietnamese students will be able to study in a multicultural environment, talk to foreign students, and explore the Chinese attractions and culture values.
Students who complete the course and meet the graduation criteria will be granted a training program certificate from Huawei.
The four most excellent students will be then invited to visit Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China, and participate in the “Seeds for the Future 2023” Conference in Shanghai from September 16 to September 19. They will also have an opportunity to take part in the worldwide Tech4Good competition, which includes a US$100,000 start-up fund and other awards.
In addition to certain language and academic requirements, the program is open to outstanding university students who are keen to learn about technology, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and are able to adapt to a multicultural environment.
The program’s application process began on August 4 and will last to August 17. The final results will be announced on August 19.
Since 2008, “Seeds for the Future” has been Huawei’s primary corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. As of 2022, the program has collaborated with over 500 universities in 139 countries, with over 15,000 students participating.
In Vietnam, Huawei first introduced the program in 2015. After seven years, the program has granted scholarships to 146 outstanding students from top universities across Vietnam.
It is the first time that Huawei Vietnam has partnered with the VDCA to organize the “Seeds for the Future” program.
