HCMC – HCMC will facilitate cooperation between Vietnamese and Hong Kong businesses to further attract investment into the city, said Vo Van Hoan, vice chairman of HCMC.
He was speaking yesterday, May 30, at a meeting with Sunny Chai, chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), and a Hong Kong business delegation.
HCMC is prioritizing smart urban development, focusing on developing a digital and green economy and digital management. Thus, Hong Kong firms will receive support if they invest in information technology, logistics, green transition and digital economy, Hoan said.
He proposed the FHKI participate in projects in the Saigon Hi-Tech Park and join hands with the municipal government to develop the city into an international financial center and Thu Duc City into an innovative urban town.
The members of the FHKI lauded HCMC’s development potential, saying they were willing to share their experience in technology, urban planning, and smart and green urban development.
