HCMC – There are 250 businesses from 22 countries and territories attending an international logistics exhibition at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in District 7, HCMC.
The Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition (VILOG 2023), which opened on August 10 and lasts until August 12, features 345 booths that are displaying cutting-edge products, services, and technologies in the logistics industry.
The categories include transportation and forwarding, warehousing and cold chain, equipment and packaging technology, logistics technology application, and various support services.
Organized by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and VINEXAD Company and endorsed by the Agency of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the event is expected to attract around 20,000 visitors.
Tran Thanh Hai, deputy director general of the Agency of Foreign Trade, said at the opening ceremony that this is the first such exhibition and it is a milestone in the country’s logistics service industry’s journey towards international integration.
Vietnam’s logistics sector has made remarkable progress in recent years, with an average annual growth rate of 14-16%.
During the event, many specialized seminars and discussions will be held to address pressing and trending topics in the industry, such as cross-border e-commerce, industry workforce training, and the Buy-Ship-Pay model in agricultural exports.
