HCMC – ForGood Vietnam has organized a ceremony to present certificates of attendance to 40 women who have completed courses in the 2023 Future For Women program in HCMC.
The program is aimed at strengthening the community of female-founded startups and leveraging the importance of women in economic development.
Through the program’s second edition, the women with outstanding ideas for business underwent training courses in six months.
Speaking at the event held on February 11, Tran Thi Ngoc Tran, co-founder of ForGood Vietnam, said that one of the barriers facing women doing business is loneliness in their startup journey and gender inequality. A strong female-led startup community will encourage and support women who intend to start a business.
After the training courses, these 40 women became members of the Women Entrepreneurship Community Vietnam (WECV), founded by ForGood Vietnam. WECV is aimed at heightening the economic participation of women.
The program was initiated for women aged 18 or older in Vietnam by a group of alumni from the United States Department of State in the 2020-2021 period.
