HCMC – The towering Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship arrived in Nha Trang this morning (August 2), carrying a staggering 4,600 passengers on its voyage to Vietnam.

The Spectrum of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in Asia, boasts 16 stories, and over 2,000 cabins and can accommodate a maximum of more than 5,600 passengers. The ship commenced its journey from Singapore, carrying guests from various countries, including France, Germany, Spain, Thailand and Singapore.

Due to its massive size, the cruise ship could not dock at Nha Trang port and had to anchor in the offshore Nha Trang Bay, from where passengers were transferred to the city.

During their visit to Nha Trang, tourists have a city tour, which takes in popular tourist sites such as the Institute of Oceanography, Ponagar Tower, Truong Son craft village, Long Son pagoda, and Dam market.

After departing Nha Trang, the Spectrum of the Seas will set sail for Hong Kong, China, later today.

So far this year, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 10 cruise ships with over 9,600 passengers. The province expects to receive one more cruise ship this month, reported the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism.
