HCMC – CMC Corporation and Dong Nai Province’s authorities have agreed to work together to set up a digital center in this southern province.
An announcement to this effect was made at the recent “Vietnam International Hub” workshop held in Dong Nai. The event was organized by the provincial People’s Committee in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Information and Communications.
“CMC is now operating creative space complexes in HCMC, Danang, and Hanoi,” said Le Thanh Son, senior vice president and chief financial officer of CMC Corporation. “We are committed to working with relevant agencies to create a digital hub in the province.”
Son underlined that investments in innovation centers require certain conditions, including access to land and effective planning. Additionally, appropriate policies to attract investors and develop the local workforce are also critical components, he added.
Nguyen Son Hung, vice chairman of Dong Nai Province, said the inclusion of a digital hub in the development planning of Dong Nai is deemed appropriate at this time.
Dong Nai, a dynamic province with an average annual growth rate of 8%, has plans to develop industrial centers and support service facilities along its southwest area, including Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts.
The province also intends to establish high-quality testing, research and development centers, vocational training institutes, and startup incubators.
