HCMC – A bridge which will span the Yen River and connect Danang City with neighboring Quang Nam Province in central Vietnam is set to be developed between now and 2026, with a total cost of an estimated VND274 billion.
Danang City has requested Quang Nam to provide feedback on the feasibility study of the bridge project, which will start from Danang’s Hoa Vang District to Quang Nam’s Dien Ban Town, Nguyen Hong Quang, vice chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee, said yesterday, February 10.
The two localities agreed to build the bridge, named Quang Da, and roads leading to the bridge with a total length of 1.4 kilometers and four lanes. The main bridge would measure some 204 meters long, the local media reported.
The Quang Da bridge project is part of a development and cooperation deal signed in August 2022 by Quang Nam and Danang.
The project was scheduled to be executed in the 2022-2026 period, with the Danang management board of agriculture and rural development projects being the investor and operator.
The Quang Nam official added that the province also approved a project to build a beltway worth VND498 billion in the northern part of the province. The beltway would start from the Quang Da Bridge to Dien Ngoc beach in Dien Ban, enhancing the transport connectivity between the two localities.
