Born and growing up in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, Le Ba Huynh Duc, 26, a dentomaxillofacial doctor at Buon Ma Thuot Medical University Hospital in Buon Ma Thuot City, has donated blood and platelets 65 times over the past eight years.
Duc told thanhnien.vn that the safe interval between two platelet donation times is at least 15 days. However, to be physically fit, he often donated platelets once a month. He also follows a healthy eating plan. He would go to any hospital around the city to donate blood or platelets to patients in need at any time of the day, rain or shine.
