HCMC – Vietnam’s recent crackdown on corruption and economic misconduct has resulted in the recovery of over VND20.4 trillion this year.
During a press briefing held in Hanoi on October 19, the Ministry of Justice released its quarterly report, saying that more than 2,260 economic and corruption cases were tackled during this period, up by 369 cases compared to the previous year.
On the administrative front, Nguyen Van Luc, deputy chief of the General Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement, said that the department had handled 574,819 cases, resulting in the recovery of more than VND89.4 trillion, which is an increase of nearly VND14.4 trillion compared to the same period last year.
