HCMC – Vietnamese technology solution company FPT, in collaboration with the Hope Foundation, held an inauguration ceremony for a new preschool and presented gifts to children in the southern province of Binh Phuoc.
The preschool project costs VND1 billion, funded by FPT Corp, and has one classroom, one staffroom and two restrooms, covering an area of 115 square meters.
This is one of four local preschool classrooms run by Hoa Mai Nursery School in Village 6, Binh Minh Commune, Bu Dang District. There are now 376 students enrolled at Hoa Mai Nursery School, with a majority of them being S’tieng, Tay and Nung ethnic minority children.
The organizers also offered students of the To Vinh Dien Primary School with 200 gifts, including computers, televisions, books and school supplies.
Both are part of the Hope Foundation’s “Light to School” program, started in 2018, to improve educational opportunities for youngsters from underprivileged communities.
By 2023, the effort aims to build 10 local classrooms, 50 school restrooms and provide books, playgrounds and thousands of garments to children in need across the country.
In 2022, FPT contributed VND171 billion to community and social activities nationwide, benefiting about 47,777 individuals.
