Home Credit pledges to comply with the law

HCMC – Home Credit Vietnam has issued a press release saying that it cooperated with the Thao Dien Police Division in the administrative inspection of consumer finance companies, and that its activities strictly follow the standard procedure and applicable laws.

This announcement was made after the Thao Dien Police Division carried out an inspection at Home Credit’s head office yesterday, March 28, as part of the expanded probe into irregularities at finance companies and debt collection agencies nationwide.

The administrative inspection was completed the same day.

Home Credit said the inspection result proved its business complies with the State Bank of Vietnam and Government regulations and the organization’s operations and customer services continue as normal.

The consumer credit company said it has strictly followed the standard procedure, from contacting and verifying customers, to lending, collection, and complaint handling. All activities follow the legal framework.

Throughout its 15 years of operation in Vietnam, Home Credit has upheld the spirit of a responsible lending approach, consistently pursuing the Group’s global standards as well as complying with the relevant laws and regulations of the Vietnamese Government.

Currently, it is one of the top consumer finance companies in Vietnam, with nearly 6,000 employees serving more than 14 million customers nationwide.
