HCM CITY — The Hong Kong Tourism Board has announced it will be giving away 80,000 round-trip air tickets to residents in Southeast Asian countries, including 8,800 tickets for Vietnamese residents.

The initiative is part of a campaign sponsored by the Airport Authority Hong Kong to welcome back global tourists to visit the Chinese southern city after more than three years of Covid restrictions.

The “World of Winners” campaign will give away a total of 500,000 free tickets to global visitors. In Việt Nam, the campaign will run from March 17 to 23.

To join the campaign, participants must be a Cathay Pacific member, and they can sign up for a free membership on Cathay Pacific’s website.

During the campaign period, members must visit the carrier’s website, sign in using their Cathay membership details and answer three questions. The prize will be awarded to the first 8,800 entrants with correct answers.

Each member may submit one entry only. The winners will be announced on the campaign website on April 4, 2023. They will receive an email with details on how to redeem their prize.

In Southeast Asia, the campaign will be launched in phases, beginning first with Thailand, Singapore and Philippines on March 1, 2 and 3, respectively, and then Malaysia, Indonesia, Việt Nam and Cambodia in stages two weeks later.
